You devil! Welp after a long time of thinking I decided on
Elizabeth and Elisabeth are both super similar. They have the same bird in a cage theme, they both have “daddy” issues, they make huge sacrifices, and act on what they think is right. They are both women I adore and look up to, but in the end, I chose Elisabeth. Quite possible, she is in the top 3 of all of my favourites. Despite carrying the name of a saint, she never aimed for something like that. The things she did were not for god. She might have acted and made sacrifices because of love, but at the same time she was really selfish to give up her life away in such a way. She’s gentle, righteous, and doesn’t let the years of loneliness break her spirit.
Elizabeth too of course is strong and gentle, and the reality breaks her, but she builds herself up again, but she is colder. I guess she differs from Elisabeth that she was brought up to be a “saint” or savior, to serve god, but she breaks free of that. Her growth is interesting, I love her, but Elisabeth wins this round. :(
Another school assigment. We had to do a typographic poster using only text and abstract shapes. Options were Ilo (joy), Rakkaus (love), Suru (sorrow), Viha (anger). I started with a love poster (about theater and Oscar Wilde), but it became troublesome, so I made this in few hours. I kept tweaking it the whole day though. It looked much prettier before I remembered it should present the emotion I had chosen (sorrow), so I had to tune down the colours to a more nostalgic ones.
School assigment. We had to do an Ex Libris for one of our school mates. elina-elsu wanted something Sherlock related, but not too obviously sherlock related, black and white ex libris. This is how it turned out to be!
Everything was drawn, except for the EX LIBRIS 2014 text by me.
(it also had Elina’s name on it on the scroll but I removed it just in case for safety reasons, but meh)
Small scale countdown for me. I’ll draw as many pics I can, sharing my theories in the midst.
I believe the witch and the devil boy are siblings. They are next to each other in RE cover, and they have same coloured hair with the same straight style. Also they are facing the same direction if that has any worth,
I believe the LE cover shows other relationships better, but more about why I think the wicked girl has a hold on him later on when I’ll draw her.
In this picture they are discussing last minute plans what the boy hsould dress as. Witch girl suggest matching costumes, him being a wizard. But beards are uncool.
Yeah it’s the left side that is turned up that made me see a smile then. :D Without blood it looks like pouting, try widening the lower lip and see what it looks like.
"Just a scratch."
I prefer the pouting face. You know that feeling when you try so hard not to cry and your cheeks and lips and face go all stiff yet it’s all visible in the eyes, and you try swallowing that feeling while your lips start to shake and just get stuck?
I didn’t exactly reach that with the pouting face but that’s what I attempted.
Bloody faces are really The Thing in snk. Eyes look sad but mouth looks like it’s smiling, on purpose or is it the blood? (not a bad thing necessarily, but I get the feeling you were going for sad) Sisäinen kriitikkoni on nyt hereillä, send help. :’D
